#11 A second opinion

Send to Kindle

In this context we define “opinion” as a “decision.”

A “second opinion” is sought because of suspicions with the first one. When you get the second opinion, should you discard the first? Or blend the two? Or go back to the first?

The object of discovery and questions should be to get educated and informed. When a decision is taken, change it only when the assumptions or other circumstances change.

This means you have to keep track of the assumptions and the rationale for taking the decision you did.

Thus, it seems to me that asking for a “second opinion” is a sign of a faulty decision making process.
